As a teenager I had a very rough time finding my sense of style. I wasn't always put together or stylish. Makeup allowed me to recreate and discover myself. I would sneak into my moms room and always play with her makeup, and as I got older my passion grew. I would offer to do makeup and hair for my friends and family for all there occasions. I did my first bridal appointment at the age of 16. And ever since then I knew this was something I wasn't going to stop doing.
I decided to let makeup and hair take a back seat and finish going to school. While attending college in Chicago I worked part time at one of the largest salons in the Midwest, Mario Tricoci. Though I was not a technician there I was surrounded by all the best techs and beauty trends! I watched and learned, and I loved every moment of it. After completing my college degree I decided to take the makeup and hair community on by storm. I worked towards bettering my skills by training myself and working with fellow artists to learn more.
I received a certificate of education completion by Saleha Abbasi. I further went ahead and took a training session with Jenny Torry on airbrush makeup. And my training also included a session with Ghalia Alim on hair styles and techniques. I decided to further my education and signed up for the Dressyourface live classes and perfected my skills even more. I currently still take trainings to refresh and perfect my skills while keeping up with the trends. I enjoy learning new skills to create artworks on my clients for there once in a life time occasions.
I have been working as a bridal artist in the DFW area for 3 years now. My portfolio is filled with bridal events as well as birthdays, photo shoots, runway models and so much more. Creating glamorous looks for every client over the years and watching them smile is the best feeling in the world!
My love for makeup and hair stems from the need to making others feel comfortable and happy in there skin. Makeup is a tool which allows us to empower ourselves, enhance what's there and create more confidence! It only adds to our strength and beauty. And of course all of us need some glitter in our lives!
